She's a vampire, with a wish to unite all humanity in order to create a new world, which she intends to destroy using dark magic. Once she gets what she wants, the game ends, with Ikora leaving the title in the player's hands.Her main character, the player, is sent to gather all three powers - the magical weapon, the dark blade and the soul - in order to be able to defeat her. By defeating her, Ikora is forced to make a choice, which allows the player to make the final decision to kill her or free the world from the curse.At first, the choice seems simple, but in reality, it's not. As Ikora's first strike fails to kill the player, she prepares another assault, in order to avoid death. Her second attempt is only to inflict more damage on the player, since the game now has a three-strikes rule in effect . When this third strike fails, the player, despite his best efforts, will lose the opportunity to help stop the curse.In the final battle, the player must choose between saving the world or killing her. He can also pick from the various other choices available, like telling her that he wants to see her or that he doesn't care about her. The choice is up to the player, as each time his companion dies, he gets the chance to try again. Once the player chooses not to kill Ikora, however, he must choose whether to send her back to her realm, instead of the world's destruction, or not, in order to save the world.Having completed all these missions, the player must choose whether to erase the mark that Ikora leaves in his shadow (removing it completely), or not, in order to protect the other player's chances to win the game. He can also choose to leave it blank if he prefers not to have an inkling of how he had to choose.Since Ikora has become one of the player's most beloved characters, there are several variations on the storyline, which also serves as great inspiration for several of the other game mechanics. The player gets to interact with Ikora's sidekicks - the vampires who live in the Dark World - in one of her missions. As he finishes a task, he gets to add a mark to one of the player's companions, and also uses their special powers to further his own chances of winning the game.There are also other objectives to fulfill throughout the game, ranging from making sure that Ikora doesn't get the power she needs to finish the curse to using the Power of Shadows to achieve a few other feats. Each mission, therefore, serves as a good example of the many ways to enjoy Destiny 2, from the story of the game to the alternate game mechanics. Even if one fails, a level three marks is achieved, because the player has no alternative but to win, but also because his character becomes stronger in the process. If the player plays responsibly, all this can make his challenge a memorable one.
